The sixth and final stage of the 30th Iran International Cycling Tour wrapped up today in Tabriz much in the favor of foreign cyclists.
Two Australian cyclists managed to stand at first and second places and a Kazakh cyclist ranked third at the final stage of the competitions.
92 cyclists from 18 teams competed for championship titles at the 30th Iran International Cycling Tour on Tabriz-Urmia 144km route.
International teams from Australia, Georgia, Mongolia, Malaysia, Turkey, Laos, Syria, Armenia, Kazakhstan, China, Czech Republic and 5 Iranian teams participated at the competitions.
The event kicked off on May 28 and wrapped up on June 2, 2015 in Tabriz.
Iran International Cycling Tour or the Azerbaijan Tour is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in Iran since 1986, named after Azerbaijan, Iran. It is a UCI 2.1 category race and is part of the UCI Asia Tour.
The tour commences from Tabriz the largest city in Iranian Azerbaijan. The route for the tour passes through Lake Urmia, Urmia, Jolfa, Meshginshahr, Sareyn and Kaleybar, and then finishes at Tabriz.
